IBC’s have been our choice of water storage for many years now, but after lengthy investigations, discussions with customers and suppliers, and through helpful assistance from the HSE, we have found that the translucent material of the IBC allows for a build-up of algae on the inside of the tank when exposed to direct sunlight. As part of our commitment to continuous development and innovation, we have made a radical change and replaced all of the IBC‘s in the depot with a single 10,000L water storage tank. The new tank is WRAS-approved; demonstrating compliance with the high standards implemented by the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999. Whilst we clearly state the water we provide to our customers is not drinking water, the new tank is designed to safely store drinking water. By using this tank, the message to our customers is that our water is as clean as it possibly can be when it is delivered.
As part of our operational tasks we often undertake multiple tests on our stored water. Tests are carried out internally and externally by a competent contractor. They include testing for Legionella, Coliform, E.coli and TACC (General Bacteria). We have a strict water quality control policy and use Chlorine Dioxide tablets to treat any affected water to ensure it is correctly disinfected and cleaned. We are pleased to announce we have once again passed all of these stringent tests.
We have also added a variety of 1000L & 2000L water bowsers to our ever expanding hire fleet. These water bowsers offer the same benefits as our depot storage tank and are disinfected and sealed before delivery on each new hire. We’ve upgraded our line of on-demand water pumps to include a protective cover and easy-to-use plumbing fittings and now offer a service to provide chlorine dioxide tablets when delivering water to customer’s sites.
