It has really helped staff with our time management and operations by replacing the old paper based driver checks and as an added bonus it runs on all multiple platforms.
The other benefits include allowing vehicle defect notifications to be emailed to managers immediately. Drivers can take photographs of defects within the app, improving and enhancing the details of any immediate issues. The Checkedsafe app also allows us to add check elements to the template to suit the needs of our business; these can be carried out alongside the DVSA compliance checks. All vehicles over 3.5 Tonne have a legal requirement to have a walk-around check performed however, at Challenger we ensure all of our 3.5 Tonne vehicles are checked to the same standards as those over 3.5 Tonne.
Another feature is we can rest assured knowing that all the information recorded on the Checkedsafe App is sent in real time with our data connection to our Transport Manager. This fail safe method ensures all driver vehicle checks are recorded and most importantly it can identify any defects quickly. The method ensures all our managers can act upon the information as soon as possible. The report can then be processed and sent onto to the Challenger maintenance department where the staff can order the parts required for the vehicle and arrange the appropriate maintenance checks with the mechanics.
The Checkedsafe App has really enhanced our communication systems, improved efficiency, and our historical data logging.
